Rust Never Sleeps

Diary of a Tile Addict

IMG_1117[1]It´s hard to say why, but copper plumbing pipes (and retro light fittings) go together with ceramic wall tiles, like salami and pickled gherkins.

IMG_1118[1]As well as Colormix, who used a simple plumbing array to highlight its Linea Etnia range of plain white field tiles, Elizabeth used the same accessories to show off its 840 by 840mm crisallo porcelain range, Rusty White.

Rusty White recreates the surface of a old-school enamel tin plate that has beome chipped at the edges and started to rust.

It is just the kind of design that up-market, edgy, clothing retailers adore.  It is also a practical choice for the interior designer since the predominantly white surface offers a suitably neutral backdrop for a great variety of fabrics and furnishing styles.
