Cambridge-based Tech Firm Strikes Brazil Airport Deal

A UK company has secured an impressive deal to provide Brazil’s largest airport with 3,200 TETRA hand-portable radios.

Sepura will provide the staff of São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport with voice and data systems, servicing the airport’s airline, maintenance, cleaning, security and emergency staff. The new digital solution will replace the analogue system current used at the airport.

The Sepura Group is a technological communications firm based in South East England, and is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of digital radios. According to their website, the company has business in over 30 countries, and was founded in 2002.

One of the firm’s Spanish sub-groups, Teltronic, already has a significant presence in Brazil after supplying the entire communications system used by personnel during the recently concluded 2016 Olympic games.
