It’s finally here!
Starting today (August 5th), the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro will be having its opening ceremony to kick off two weeks of intense sporting among the many different world countries. It has been a long time coming (well, since the 2012 London Games…), but now it’s about to happen!
True, there has been a lot of issues involving the location of this Olympic Games, namely, the country in which is hosted it (Brazil). From the mass-hysterical news of the Zika virus to the impeachment of its president, Dilma Rousseff, back in May, the country of Brazil certainly isn’t showing any promise for its popularity, compared to its predecessors China and England in 2008 and 2012, respectively. Nevertheless, the Games will go on, hopefully with little drama other than what happens on the field (i.e. a horrible baton pass made by the USA team…
