“A good adventurer uses all his/her senses.” Rebecca Lam
It was easy to be a good adventurer in colourful Bahia, a north eastern Brazilian state and a melting pot of cultures and rhythms, colonial buildings, ornate churches and beautiful beaches.
An exit poll revealed the following (I’ll leave you to guess who said what):
Best sight – turtles, hummingbird, dance show, everything (indecisive!)
Best sound – hummingbird (not Steve!), guitar player in the street, waves on the beach, fireworks at 6am to celebrate Our Lady of Carmo feast day (only because it was so bonkers)
Best smell – sea air, sea air, shrimp moqueca, shrimp moqueca
Best taste – mango, shrimp moqueca, shrimp moqueca, chicken and rice
Best touch – sand, turtle shell, turtle shell, waves
