IMOGEN STUBBS & JANE HORROCKS head starry line up for charity event
A host of stars – including Coronation Street favourites Sally Dynevor and Anthony Cotton plus Jane Horrocks, Imogen Stubbs, Hugh Sachs and Dean Andrews – will help support local cancer charities at THE CABARET FOR CANCER.
The event, which will take place at here at the Royal Exchange on Sunday 11 March from 5pm – 7.30pm, promises to be an evening full of fantastic entertainment in aid of The Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Appeal and the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre.
THE CABARET FOR CANCER is being organised by former Casualty star, Morag Siller, who was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2011. After getting over the initial shock and beginning her treatment, Morag decided she had to do something to help other women who were fighting the disease.
She said: “Hearing the words ‘you have cancer’ is truly devastating, but seeing the amazing work these charities do has made me realise that life goes on – it has to! That’s why I organised the Cabaret for Cancer. I wanted to put a smile back on some of the faces affected by this horrible disease, while raising money to fight it.
